About the role
Deliver specialised clinical perfusion services within cardiothoracic surgery, supporting extracorporeal life support procedures. Contribute to safe, high-quality patient care while developing clinical expertise within a multidisciplinary critical care environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide perfusion services, including management of extracorporeal circulation and life-support techniques, in line with clinical protocols and standards
- Apply clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to support increasingly complex cases under supervision
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including surgical, anaesthetic, ICU, and cardiology staff
- Contribute to research, service improvement, and development of perfusion practices
- Support education activities and maintain operational readiness of equipment and clinical resources
