Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse within the Cancer Care and Day Therapy Unit, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and expert nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment by:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centred Oncology and Haematology nursing care
- Coordinating clinic flow and supporting efficient day therapy service delivery
- Providing expert assessment, care planning and clinical decision-making for complex patients
- Administering and managing specialised therapies including chemotherapy, blood products and CVAD care
- Supporting and mentoring nursing staff, students and multidisciplinary team members
- Contributing to quality improvement, education, research and patient safety initiatives
- Acting as a clinical leader and role model within the service
About you:
You are a compassionate and motivated Clinical Nurse with strong Oncology and/or Haematology experience who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment with:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills in Oncology, Haematology and/or Day Therapy nursing
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and clinical coordination capabilities
- Experience in administering systemic therapies and managing Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong multidisciplinary relationships
- A commitment to patient-centred care, continuous improvement and professional development
- Postgraduate qualifications or ongoing study in a relevant specialty area highly regarded
- Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) competency highly desirable
