About your opportunity

This position is applicable to recent Graduates of Medical Imaging (4-year) University Degrees. New graduates will gain experience in (adult and paediatric) general and emergency radiography, operating theatre, mobile radiography, and fluoroscopy (including Catheter Laboratory). Graduates will have the opportunity to observe other imaging modalities and Radiology Support Systems of Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $79,051 to $116,189 p.a. (HP3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Mandatory: The applicant must
    • Hold a tertiary qualification specific to medical imaging;
    • Hold current registration with MRPBA (AHPRA) * * Eligible for HP1 Undergraduate Radiographer position until AHPRA registration is presented.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, efficient, patient centred and management of patients in medical imaging.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated ability to use good quality verbal and written communication to work co-operatively within the interprofessional team to achieve the best patient centred outcomes.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Reimbursement of relocation expenses for a 12 month temporary contract up to $2,000 upon presentation of tax receipts.
