About the role
Permanent flexible part-time opportunity to provide contemporary speech pathology skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of clients in the local geographical population to promote, maintain, and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver quality Speech Pathology clinical services in a variety of health-care environments, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making, under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the discipline of Speech Pathology and the multidisciplinary team and with consumers and families/carers.
- Liaise with consumers and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers in the delivery of Speech Pathology clinical services.
- Accurately and concisely record all patient interaction as well as workload measurement statistics, to facilitate the analysis of service trends.
