About the role
Fixed term temporary full-time opportunity to apply high-level, independent, and evidence-informed clinical skills and practice models in the delivery of Occupational Therapy, services to patients within an acute, tertiary hospital setting, that are responsive to personal factors (physical, psychosocial, and cultural) and environmental circumstances.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Apply high-level judgement, professional relationship, and clinical management skills to a complex and varied clinical caseload. Act as a reference point for other members of the Occupational Therapy team to facilitate clinical problem solving and decision making. Reach out to other members of the interprofessional team as required according to the knowledge, ability and skill that best addresses patient needs.
- Initiate and contribute to collaborative decision making, including recognising the potential for conflict to occur, working to ensure a common understanding of care decisions, and addressing and resolving disagreements to enhance teamwork. Deliver a comprehensive and coordinated treatment approach to optimise clinical outcomes.
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within specialist clinical service areas, and advocate for service improvements that enhance the delivery of Occupational Therapy services across the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and wider MNHHS, utilising identification and application of guidelines and business improvement plans.
