We're excited to welcome a Occupational Therapist - Senior to our Post Acute Care Sevice team!
The Post Acute Care Service (PACS) is a rapid-response, short-term Allied Health and Nursing team that delivers targeted interventions to reduce the likelihood of hospital re-presentation. These interventions include: assessing equipment needs to support safe mobility and activities of daily living (ADLs); assisting with new diet modifications and ensuring they translate to the home environment; providing nursing input for symptom management, medication support, wound care, and IDC/SPC education; and facilitating safe access to community services while monitoring coping and providing support during the post-acute period.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
- Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners and students as delegated.
Remuneration value up to $12 063 p.m., comprising salary between $4912.70 - $5286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed Term Temporary position available from late July 2026 until late February 2027).
