About the role
In this apprenticeship, you'll gain practical, on-the-job experience supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across a busy healthcare environment. Working under the guidance of experienced electricians, you'll build foundational trade skills while contributing to the safe and reliable operation of hospital facilities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Ensure that safe work practices and safety procedures are always adopted, and that protective clothing and equipment provided is worn and used as recommended.
- Assist trades persons in all aspects of their work to maximise learning experiences.
- Respond to work requests allocated by Trade Manager and Trade Coordinators and liaise with customers to understand maintenance requirements.
- Work with trade staff in other sections to deliver multi-disciplinary works.
- Ensure effective communication with trade staff, customers and patients as required.
