We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse Consultant Dementia Care to our Medical Directorate team.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Dementia Care role will form part of a Clinical Review Team and play a pivotal part of the Clinical Advisory Committee (CAC) working between the Specialist Dementia Care Program Residential Aged Care Home (RACH), the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and the Department of Health Specialist Dementia Care Program to facilitate the provision of care for people exhibiting very severe Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) who are unable to be effectively cared for by mainstream aged care services.
Key Responsibilities include:
- This position requires you to adhere to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Sunshine Coast Health Safe Care Framework, which has been developed in collaboration with staff, consumers and key stakeholders to enable our vision of health and wellbeing through person-centred care.
- Advanced level of autonomous clinical and professional practice.
- Accountable for NMBA and own standards, actions and the outcomes of own nursing/midwifery practice, professional advice given and for activities delegated to a registered nurse/registered midwife, enrolled nurse or unregulated healthcare worker.
- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in a particular area of expertise.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $173 368 p.a., comprising salary rates: $70.58 - $76.63 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Fixed term temporary part time position available up to 30 June 2027, 64 hrs p.f.).
