About the role
In this role, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, treatment, and management for patients with acute and high-risk foot disease. You'll work across three community health locations—North Lakes, Caboolture, and Chermside—collaborating closely with Advanced Podiatrists and other allied health professionals to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Utilise high-level clinical skills, knowledge and independent professional judgement to manage a varied and complex caseload within the ambulatory podiatry high-risk foot services of MNHHS, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. The setting is primarily in community health clinics across multiple locations within Metro North for the management of complex foot conditions in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Develop effective professional relationships with patients and other healthcare providers in the multi-disciplinary team to influence clinical outcomes
- Ability to independently utilise and interpret current technology used for the assessment of plantar pressure and gait analysis, to facilitate high level prescription and optimatisation of offloading devices as well as provide a high level clinical education for consumers.
- Apply independent professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
