Your new role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to provide advanced mental health and addiction nursing care within the Continuing Care Team (CCT) East at Metro South Health.

  • Working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care for consumers with complex needs.
  • Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning and coordination for consumers with complex mental health and/or addiction care needs.
  • Deliver clinical leadership, support and guidance to nursing staff and the broader healthcare team to promote best practice outcomes.
  • Contribute to service improvement activities including quality initiatives, clinical audits, risk management and change implementation.
  • Support education, mentoring and professional development within the team while promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

About you:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Clinical Nurse who demonstrates advanced clinical capability, strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality mental health and addiction services.

  • Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and demonstrated experience in contemporary mental health and/or addiction nursing practice.
  • Highly developed clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex consumer care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and with consumers, families and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice and quality improvement, with post graduate qualifications or ongoing study in a relevant field highly regarded.
