About your role
As an Assistant Business Manager, you will support the Finance Manager and Business Managers in delivering financial and business management services across QEII Hospital.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with financial analysis, reporting and budget management activities
- Monitor expenditure, revenue and activity performance against targets
- Support monthly reporting, budget cashflows and annual budget processes
- Prepare financial journals and maintain general ledger integrity
- Assist with business cases, submissions and financial modelling activities
- Support procurement, contract management and service agreement processes
- Maintain cost centre and delegation mapping documentation
About you
You are an analytical and collaborative finance professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience in financial management, reporting and budget support activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities
- Experience using financial and reporting systems such as Excel, Power BI or similar
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities

We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
