Your new role:

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Emergency Department, you will provide expert clinical leadership, advanced nursing practice and strategic support to ensure safe, high-quality emergency care delivery across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced clinical expertise and leadership within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
  • Lead National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards and accreditation activities
  • Support nursing teams through mentorship, education, clinical guidance and workforce development
  • Drive evidence-based practice, service improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration

About you:

You are a highly experienced emergency nursing professional with strong leadership capability, advanced clinical judgement and a passion for delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Skills & Experience

Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in emergency nursing practice

Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills within multidisciplinary environments

Proven ability to mentor staff, lead quality initiatives and support service improvement outcomes

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with postgraduate emergency qualifications highly regarded

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
