You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and clinically relevant genetic testing services while contributing to continuous improvement, quality practices and collaborative multidisciplinary service delivery.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge, expertise and skills with a focus on service delivery and genetic referrals, computer applications and databases, DNA extraction and sequencing.
- Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision to produce an effective work output in terms of quality and quantity.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated contributions to the quality of clinical practice within a molecular laboratory, through compliance with organisational policies and procedures and maintenance of relevant legislative, administrative, and professional standards, including NATA / ISO / TGA accreditation / certification requirements. Demonstrated ability to contribute to supervision of a small team.
