Working within a collaborative and professional team, you will contribute to accurate and timely diagnostic testing while ensuring all laboratory practices meet the stringent standards of Pathology Queensland, NATA and ISO accreditation requirements. This role is ideal for a motivated scientist who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to quality, patient care and continuous improvement.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated ability to apply multi-specialty scientific judgement in Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.
- Demonstrated ability to provide scientific advice and provision of results to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients pertaining to Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.
- Demonstrated ability to provide scientific services in accordance with professional clinical standards, established principles / procedures and comprehensive operation and maintenance of analytical equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team to contribute to the objectives of the laboratory.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality and service improvement activities in accordance with National Association of Testing Authority/International Standardisation Organisation (NATA/ISO) accreditation / certification.
