About us:

The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements.

The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit is led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research. The Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Facilitators, Student Facilitators, Transfusion Nurse and Librarians report to the Nursing Director of Education and Research. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health have professional links with the Education and Research Unit.

About the role:

  • The Graduate Clinical Facilitator actively engages in the development of a learning culture, through face-to-face interaction and teaching of graduate nurses, whilst liaising with the clinical unit and respective teams.
  • The Graduate Clinical Facilitator provides leadership and contributes to the development of clinical practice by:
  • Planning, developing, facilitating, and evaluating evidence based clinical education.
  • Actively engaging in quality activity and research projects and enabling a research culture.
  • Modelling active engagement in professional partnerships/networks across the education/research continuum.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Proven ability to assess education needs, plan and implement education strategies and evaluate outcomes.
  • Proven ability to develop evidence-based, educationally sound teaching and learning resources.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $11,604 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $57.48 -$61.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
