About the role
Provide evidence-based, woman and baby-focused care in partnership with women, collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes while maintaining accountability and performing delegated duties within scope of practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 8, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health and Department of Education) Certified Agreement (EB11) (2022) - Midwifery Generic Level Statements (GLS) Midwife Grade 5 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Apply clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of woman and baby centred care.
