What you'll do  

  • Manage the ongoing operational performance of the Applications team by developing, implementing and maintaining workforce and operational business plans.
  • Ensure the impacts of changes to any of the components supporting enterprise applications are understood and managed to maintain defined service levels and manage service restoration in major incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with business representatives and internal and external service providers to ensure service levels remain aligned to evolving business requirements and costs of delivering enterprise applications remain within the allocated budget.
  • Proactively maintain and manage enterprise applications in accordance with Queensland Health policies, standards and practices, including eHealth Service Management processes.
  • Manage the team's roadmap, including developing, and contributing to, funding strategies and budget submissions.
  • Lead, manage and mentor a team at strategic and operational levels in the integrated operation of complex enterprise information systems to achieve defined service levels.
  • Lead the proactive management of contracts, service and operating level agreements with internal and external service providers to ensure the delivery of defined service levels.

About you  

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 5, CHMG 5, RELM 5).
  • Demonstrated expert level skills and experience in managing clinical applications and its integration with business requirements and technical environment in a large and complex service delivery environment. In particular, experience with the Oracle Health product suite including CCL, Mpages, Oracle Health Security and Olympus (SFIA:  Tech Levels 6,7)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse activities and priorities across organisational boundaries to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment. Experience in negotiating and managing contracts and service level agreements with emphasis on a strong customer focus. (SFIA: SLMO Level 5).
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a team at strategic and operational levels in the integrated operation of complex enterprise information systems to achieve defined service levels. (NHS: Leading change through people. NHS: Empowering Others
