Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the newly commissioned Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit at Redland Hospital. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred care to critically ill adult patients in a contemporary Level 4 ICU environment. You will also:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical teams to achieve best practice outcomes for critically ill patients.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice and safe clinical governance within the ICU/HDU.
- Support education, mentoring and professional development while participating in a 24/7 rotating roster within a dynamic critical care environment.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and clinically capable Registered Nurse who is passionate about intensive care nursing and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. You have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Demonstrated experience and clinical knowledge in acute or intensive care nursing with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- A collaborative and adaptable team player who communicates effectively and contributes positively to workplace culture.

Unit Profile
The combined Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / High Dependency Unit (HDU) will be a newly commissioned service that opened in late 2025 and is established under the Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) as a level 4 ICU. The ICU/HDU provides specialist clinical care to critically ill adult in-patients at Redlands Hospital and will also support ICU Services in Metro South Health Service area. The Clinical Outreach team will operate out of the ICU on a 24/7 basis and provide specialist clinical care and support for in-hospital resuscitation, patients experiencing clinical deterioration and provide support to staff within the general hospital precinct.
