Your new role:
The Clinical Research Facility is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to deliver advanced research nursing care within a specialist clinical trials environment. Working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will coordinate and manage the care of patients participating in clinical research studies, ensuring excellence in patient outcomes, safety, and quality standards.
You will;
- Deliver advanced clinical care and coordination for patients participating in clinical trials and research programs
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff and the wider healthcare team
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, research activities, and evidence-based practice
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse with a passion for research, patient-centred care, and clinical excellence. You thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment and bring strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills to complex clinical situations.
You will have,
- Demonstrated experience in cancer nursing, including competency in chemotherapy administration
- Proven clinical assessment, care planning, and problem-solving skills within complex patient environments
- Experience or strong interest in clinical research and clinical trials nursing
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and professional development

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
