This is a hands-on delivery role embedded within an active complex capital works environment.  Supporting and working directly with the Digital Lead you will be the key interface between the capital project, HHS representatives, and technical solution providers.  Your responsibility includes capturing digital requirements and ensuring digital equipment and solutions satisfies those requirements.  To capture requirements you will update capital works project documents including room layout sheets (RLS), room data sheets (RDS) and other capital works artefacts.  You will manage and operate in a complex stakeholder environment demonstrating the ability to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions and systems.

The role:

You will work as part of a delivery team in a hospital capital works program, supporting ICT delivery activities across defined project milestones. Your work will be output focused, contributing to schedule tracking, identifying gaps between planned and actual delivery, and helping translate technical and clinical requirements into actionable scopes of work.

Specifically, you will:

  • Review and contribute to the analysis of project schedules, construction drawings, and ICT work packages to support the identification of delivery risks, sequencing conflicts, and scope gaps, escalating findings to the Project Lead with clear, evidence-based observations
  • Contribute to procurement and contract documentation, including scope statements, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
  • Assist in coordinating onsite works ensuring suppliers appropriately consider operational impacts and needs.
  • Liaise with HHS stakeholders (clinical and administrative) to capture digital device and system requirements, ensuring formal sign-off is achieved.
  • Maintain and update risk and issues registers, contributing to status reports and papers that support project decision-making
  • Review technical requirements, configuration data, and vendor deliverables
  • Support and participate in requirements workshops with stakeholders, helping translate outputs into scoped work packages and traceable specifications
  • Report on milestone progress against program schedules

Assisting with implementing and maintaining adequate systems, processes, registers, records, and internal controls to effectively manage, monitor, and report on the status of project milestones and deliverables.

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role, you must have recent demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities within a capital works project. You will have demonstrated experience working within large-scale capital works projects, in an ICT capacity, preferably in a hospital capital works project.

You will also have experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to build productive working relationships with technical specialists, clinicians, and project/program team members.

You will bring:

  • Ability to read and work with project schedules (MS Project or equivalent), identify potential risks, and communicate observations clearly to the project team
  • Ability to liaise with HHS stakeholders, both clinical and administrative, to lead discussions and capture requirements for input to construction works.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing technical drawings, ICT infrastructure scopes, and vendor deliverables to support completeness and compliance checks
  • Experience working with risk and issues registers as active delivery tools, with follow-through to support resolution
  • Solid stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to contribute effectively to meetings and translate complex, multi-disciplinary inputs into requirements
  • Experience in ICT capital projects, preferably in healthcare, where delivery timelines are fixed and scope clarity matters
  • Ability to apply structured thinking to complex problems — formal BA frameworks are a bonus, not a prerequisite
