Your new role:

As an Advanced Radiation Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy services across treatment, planning, quality assurance and clinical support functions. Working within a multidisciplinary oncology team, you will apply advanced clinical expertise to support safe, evidence-based patient care while contributing to service improvement and innovation.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver advanced radiation therapy treatment and planning services
  • Work across treatment, planning and quality assurance areas
  • Support best-practice patient-centred oncology care
  • Contribute to clinical protocol development and service improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists

You are a skilled and motivated Radiation Therapist with advanced clinical capability and a strong commitment to patient-centred care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy contributing to innovation, education and service excellence.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Advanced knowledge of radiation therapy treatment and planning
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in complex clinical environments
  • Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
  • Ability to provide technical advice and clinical guidance

About us:

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Cancer Services is a highly developed, multidisciplinary cancer service in one of Australia's largest teaching hospitals.

The hospital provides a comprehensive adult cancer service encompassing haematological, surgical, and medical and radiation oncology specialities.

Unique features of the PAH Cancer Services include:

  • An established intellectual environment and strong research culture that brings together research scientists and clinicians across disciplines, and
  • Strong tradition of basic and clinical research with particular success in research translation.

In addition, there are a range of multidisciplinary cancer clinics involving all tumour sites, existence of two large tissue banks, large clinical trials department and staff with national and International reputation.
