About us:
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service operates a comprehensive and safe maternity and birthing service for women across Far North Queensland. On average each month, 187 babies are born at Cairns Hospital and each year more than 2,700 babies are safely delivered across our hospitals.
About your opportunity:
The Clinical Midwife Data Coordinator utilises advanced midwifery practice knowledge to ensure accuracy of data and interpretation.:
In this position you will:
- Maintain appropriate documentation as part of the continuous quality improvement cycle.
- Ability to work independently and strong engagement skills to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, Midwifery Unit Manager, Midwifery Director, business teams and State networks.
- Perform functions necessary to prepare data for analysis and transfer to state and national database including checking accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
