About the role

Permanent full-time opportunity to provide high-level leadership and coordination of administrative services within the Extended Care Service. You will oversee daily operations including referrals, scheduling, workforce management, and performance monitoring, while leading a team to deliver efficient, compliant and patient-centred administrative support aligned with service priorities.

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide leadership, coordination, and supervision of administrative staff within the Extended Care Service, fostering a skilled, responsive, and patient-centred team.
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS) and support alignment of administrative processes with required standards.
  • Provide oversight of daily administrative operations, including referral management, patient registration, scheduling (including telehealth), outcomes processing, billing, receipting, and optimisation of clinic capacity in line with service priorities.
  • Coordinate administrative workforce management, including rostering, leave management, and skill mix optimisation to ensure appropriate service coverage.
