The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Advisor – Work Experience and Traineeships (Identified - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Support the recruitment of students and provide ongoing culturally responsive support across the programs cycle
- Provide secretarial services including organising meetings, workshops, agendas, minutes and tracking of actions as required
- Identify, monitor, and attend to urgent enquiries and issues on behalf of the Work Experience and Traineeship Advisor
- Successfully engage/mentor/coach adolescents, leading to positive outcomes
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to twelve months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $93 556 - $103 074 per annum
