Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Assistant – Team Leader to join our Pharmacy Department across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals. In this key leadership role, you will coordinate pharmacy assistant services, support the delivery of high-quality medicines management, lead and develop a skilled workforce, oversee daily operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and service excellence.

  • Lead, mentor and develop the pharmacy assistant workforce across multiple service areas
  • Coordinate staff allocation, rostering and workflow priorities to support service delivery
  • Provide advanced support in dispensing, distribution, inventory management and pharmaceutical manufacturing activities
  • Oversee imprest management activities, including electronic imprest systems

About you:

You are a confident and capable leader with extensive experience in hospital pharmacy support services. You enjoy developing people, improving systems and working collaboratively to deliver safe and effective healthcare services.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a hospital pharmacy environment
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medicines management and inventory processes
  • Experience managing staff performance, training and workforce development
  • Proven ability to lead change and implement service improvements

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
