Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – IMAST Lead, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and operational support across Internal Medicine, ensuring safe, responsive and effective care delivery during periods of increased patient demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Internal Medicine Acuity & Support Team and coordinate resources across medical wards
- Provide expert support for deteriorating, high-acuity and complex patients
- Facilitate patient flow through admissions, discharges and escalation management
- Mentor nursing staff and promote evidence-based practice, safety and quality outcomes
About you:
You are an experienced nursing leader with strong acute medical expertise, exceptional clinical judgement and the ability to thrive in dynamic healthcare environments.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced clinical experience in acute medical nursing and patient deterioration management
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and support nursing teams
- Strong decision-making, communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
