Join the Capricorn Coast Mental Health Team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people across the region. Based in Yeppoon, this rewarding role supports individuals from Yeppoon, Emu Park, Keppel Sands, Byfield and surrounding communities through specialised mental health care delivered in outpatient and home settings.
Working as part of Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS), you'll provide assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultation and referrals to help people on their recovery journey. Collaborating with hospitals, health professionals and community partners, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to improving mental health outcomes and supporting recovery across Central Queensland.
About the role:
- Provide specialist mental health assessments, consultation and brief interventions to support consumers during hospital admissions and their transition back to community-based care.
- Work closely with hospitals, General Practitioners, community organisations and private providers to ensure coordinated, recovery-focused care and smooth service transitions.
- Assist consumers to access the most appropriate mental health supports by identifying care needs early and facilitating referrals to ongoing services.
- Deliver mental health education, clinical advice and training to healthcare professionals and community service providers to strengthen mental health knowledge and outcomes.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership through staff support, supervision and mentoring, while maintaining high-quality clinical documentation, data collection and continuous service improvement activities.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse
A relevant postgraduate qualification is a requirement of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of the required post-graduate study within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance review process.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
