About us:
We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.
The primary catchment of Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services covers the Cairns and Hinterland region incorporating various areas ranging from Mossman in the north, Tully in the south to Mareeba and Atherton in the west. The objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.
About the role:
- Accessing language and interpreting support.
- Activities must be relevant to those of an identified position.
- Participation in legal and legislative processes and requirements.
- Participation in clinics.
- Providing ATSI Mental Health First Aid.
- Support and advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients/families with a range of MHAOD services and other service providers.
- Collaboration on assessment, case management, intake and discharge by providing cultural guidance, information, education and support to health professionals, community based workers and other service providers.
