As the Oral Health Therapist or Dental Therapist, you will contribute to the provision of a high standard of oral health care to all eligible clients of the Cairns and Hinterland Oral Health Services through the delivery of dental therapy / dental hygiene services.

About your role:

  • Actively pursue professional development to maintain recognised standards in general oral health care and health promotion.
  • Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service activities that continually improve client care and enhance the delivery of oral health services
  • Provide routine professional advice and information and liaise effectively with clients and their families, with members of the multidisciplinary team and with other health professionals, internal and external stakeholders to enable efficient and improved dental services.
  • Provide clear direction to support staff and practical support for other oral heath staff in their responsibility to provide an effective and efficient oral health service.
