Your Opportunity

As the Business Partner, Marketing, you will: 

  • Provide support to a commercially focused business using an account management model to coordinate marketing activities that support TAFE Queensland, Brisbane Region marketing and communication objectives in a commercial business environment.

This position reports to the Manager, Marketing, PR and Events

This is a Temporary, Full-time opportunity, to 18 December 2026 unless otherwise determined.

The position will be based primarily at South Brisbane however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.  

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.  

Identify, lead and contribute to events management for the region, drawing on knowledge and expertise with stakeholder expertise to execute delivery of regional events.

Responsible and accountable for developing, negotiating, agreeing and implementing events planning for the region, ensuring that appropriate business targets, KPIs and other success measures are met.

Develop, execute, and review marketing plans, campaigns and strategies while developing and fostering close working relationships with business leaders to identify and resolve issues and ensure marketing activities support the delivery of business objectives.

Define and build local campaign content including print and digital channels such as Marketo, Campaign Monitor and EventsAir. 

Graphic Design project management including contribution to program briefs as delegated by the Operations Manager, Marketing.

Monitor, review and enhance tactical campaign activities ensuring that appropriate business targets, KPIs and other success measures are achieved. 

Identify event and sponsorship opportunities within the region to ensure that synergies are maximised.

Develop and ensure a consistent overall style for all publications, advertising and collateral that visually and creatively represents the brand.

Contribute to an annual editorial calendar for PR, Social and web content in collaboration with the Manager, Marketing, PR and Events.

Interpret and analyse research to define marketing initiatives and consumer insights.

Build and maintain effective mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders through efficient account management.

Maintain an understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE including financial and business performance and any impact from external factors.

Actively engage with industry, business, the community and maintain collaborative relationships with the wider TAFE Queensland Marketing Network.

Undertake other tasks and projects at the direction of the Manager, Marketing, PR and Events.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  1. Demonstrated experience in developing, executing and reviewing marketing plans that align with marketing initiatives, organisational goals in a commercialised business environment utilising project management and organisational skills.
  2. Demonstrated ability to undertake work of a complex nature relating marketing projects for the region in order to improve the organisations performance and ensure consistency with organisational strategy, commitment and goals.
  3. Demonstrated ability to produce content for a variety of media including using digital marketing and social media platforms.
  4. A collaborative working style, ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  5. High level communication skills and the ability to sustain productive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively all stakeholders, both internal and external to TAFE Queensland, Brisbane Region to achieve commercial outcomes for the business.
  6. Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Highly Desirable Requirements

  • A degree in business with a major in marketing or business would be highly regarded.
  • ADMA Digital Marketing Certificate would be highly regarded.
