About us:

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) provide an extensive range of health services at more than 30 regional, rural and remote facilities across a geographical area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the South, Cow Bay in the North and Croydon in the west. Rural hospitals in the Cairns and Hinterland region form a network of small to medium facilities that deliver essential healthcare to their local communities managing a broad range of conditions. We are looking for Registered Nurses to work in the following facilities:

Atherton Hospital, Mareeba Hospital, Innisfail Hospital, Mossman MPHS, Babinda MPHS, Herberton Hospital, Tully Hospital, Yarrabah Hospital (for more information about these facilities, please see the attached facilities overview).

About your role:

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and clinical progress
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation through the use of digital health systems 
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
