About us:

The Pharmacy Service at Cairns Hospital (CH) provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the hospital. Current services provided include: outpatient pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas of Cairns Hospital, clinical trials, and educational services. The Pharmacy at Cairns Hospital also provides operational management to the pharmacy teams at Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba and Mossman.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will….

  • Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practise based on valid and reliable evidence.
  • Liaise with patients and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers, as required to ensure continuum of care.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service areas and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
