The Roster Support Officer provides dedicated rostering and workforce management support services and to /line managers to achieve the optimal deployment of business unit resources. The position is based in Payroll Transactional Services but provides a relief support service to various Roster Support Offices in the Hospital and Health Services.

Your Key responsibilities:

  • Provide quality customer focused rostering and workforce management support services (including the planning, creation and maintenance of rosters) to line managers to ensure optimum workforce deployment.
  • Pro-actively manage time and attendance records, liaising with staff and nurse unit/line managers to enable accurate scheduling activities and pay outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with nurse unit/line managers to understand the operating environment and requirements.

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated experience performing rostering and/or workforce management support activities in a large and complex service delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Queensland Health's Integrated Workforce Management Solution and relevant industrial instruments as they apply to various employment streams.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities in relation to rostering and workforce management transactional issues.
