Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse (Nurse Grade 5) within Ward 3B, Medical Surgical at QEII Jubilee Hospital, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality clinical care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in a fast-paced medical and surgical environment.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health professionals to coordinate care, support patient flow and contribute to positive health outcomes.
- Demonstrate professional accountability and clinical leadership, including delegation, supervision and support of Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and student nurses.
- Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient education and ongoing service development while maintaining compliance with clinical standards, policies and electronic medical record systems.
About you:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centred care and contributing positively to a collaborative healthcare team.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), supported by demonstrated clinical experience in acute medical and/or surgical nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise care, adapt to changing clinical environments and deliver safe, quality outcomes.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development and participation in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and service delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and provide education and support to patients, families and colleagues.
