Your new role:

Join a newly established and innovative youth mental health service where you will provide senior Occupational Therapy expertise to support young people aged 12–25 years experiencing complex mental health challenges.

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and care planning within a multidisciplinary youth mental health team.
  • Work collaboratively with Headspace, Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS), Adult Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Services to ensure seamless care pathways and positive consumer outcomes.
  • Provide clinical leadership through supervision, mentoring and support of junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evaluation activities as part of the establishment and ongoing growth of the Headspace In-Reach Program.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people and thrives in a collaborative environment.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering Occupational Therapy services to consumers with complex mental health presentations, including working autonomously and applying advanced clinical judgement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across multidisciplinary teams and community-based services.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate care and contribute to positive consumer experiences in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision, education and support to developing clinicians, along with a commitment to service improvement and evidence-based practice.
