Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse opportunities (40–72 hours per fortnight) are available in Surgical Ward 2H at Logan Hospital, providing high-quality care to a diverse surgical patient cohort within a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team.

Your new role:

As a Registered Nurse within Surgical Ward 2H, you will play a key role in delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care to patients across a broad range of surgical specialties by:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Caring for colorectal, general surgical, acute surgical, ENT, gynaecology and orthopaedic patients.
• Collaborating with nursing, medical and allied health professionals to achieve best practice outcomes.
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practice.
• Contributing to a positive team culture while mentoring and supporting colleagues when required.
• Working across a rotating roster and adapting to the dynamic needs of a busy surgical environment.

About you:

You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated acute surgical nursing experience and sound clinical judgement.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining person-centred care.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
