About us:

Physiotherapy involves a holistic approach to the prevention, assessment and therapeutic management disorders of movement or optimisation of function to enhance the health and welfare of the community.

Central Queensland Health offers a comprehensive physiotherapy service across the lifespan to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge or when accessing other specialist outpatient services. Our physiotherapists work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

  • Provide high level Physiotherapy clinical services including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, case management and discharge planning tasks across the broad spectrum of presentations to the work area.
  • Undertake high level Physiotherapy duties of a complex and varied nature with a high degree of independence and with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
  • Provide professional leadership in the referral of patients on to appropriate inpatient, outpatient and or community services.
  • Provide clinical practice supervision and education for less experienced practitioners and clinical support staff to ensure the delivery of high level Physiotherapy services.

About you:

  • This position requires mandatory possession of Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Whilst not mandatory, post graduate qualifications in a relevant practice area is highly desirable.
  • High level of knowledge, skills, and clinical expertise in physiotherapy service provision.
  • Demonstrated participation in initiating, developing and implementing workload management and delivery to an increasingly complex workload.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $13,113 p.m is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • An hourly rate between $80.80 - $86.94 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
