What you'll do

In the Principal Policy Officer – Board Secretariat role, you will provide high-level secretariat support to the Voluntary Assisted Dying Review Board, including preparing agendas, papers, minutes and correspondence. You will support strong governance practices, prepare reports, manage information flow between stakeholders and help maintain confidential records in line with governance and compliance standards.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a significant program of work, and demonstrated knowledge of corporate and program management governance tools
  • Demonstrated written communication skills including preparing high quality documents, reports and briefing papers to senior leaders.
  • Ability to operate within a complex and sensitive environment, engaging respectfully and effectively with stakeholders who may have differing views.   
  • Proven effective consultation, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.

Strong administrative and coordination skills with the ability to find solutions in complex and ambiguous environments.
