The Office of the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) provides high-level, professional, and confidential executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive and the Board, enabling effective governance and leadership while supporting Central Queensland Health's vision to deliver Great Care for Central Queenslanders.
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) operates a broad network of hospitals and health facilities, including major referral hospitals, regional hospitals, and multipurpose health services, providing hospital-based, community and outreach care across CQ. About the role:
- Provide high-level executive support to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE), ensuring confidential, professional, and responsive assistance in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage the daily operations of the HSCE Office, coordinating priorities, workflows, correspondence, and competing demands to support organisational objectives.
- Coordinate executive communications and documentation, including briefings, reports, submissions, meeting materials, and correspondence, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with senior executives, Ministerial offices, staff, external partners, and the community, handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Support effective governance and continuous improvement through meeting coordination, research and analysis, action tracking, process enhancement, and collaboration across Executive Services.
About you:
- Demonstrate exceptional executive support experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate complex workflows, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Exercise sound judgement, initiative and discretion, confidently managing sensitive and confidential matters while working with a high level of autonomy.
- Possess highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling them to build strong relationships and work effectively with senior executives, Ministerial offices, and a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Bring strong organisational, analytical and governance expertise, with experience preparing executive documentation, coordinating meetings, managing actions, and supporting informed decision-making.
- Be a collaborative, adaptable and digitally capable professional, proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new systems and technologies. While not mandatory, a relevant qualification will be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $134,984 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.83 - $59.66 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
