About your opportunity:

In this position you will:

  • To provide assistance with outpatient clinics as directed by the Consultant to whom assigned.
  • To arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment and discharge as directed by the Consultant to which assigned.
  • To ensure that discharge summaries and other correspondence are completed with minimum delay and that all such correspondence is complete prior to leaving the unit.
  • Maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the health service and with local medical practitioners to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the hospital.
  • Ensure and review the quality of patient care by participation in clinical audits and quality programs.
  • Participate in the provision of an on-call roster or a shift roster to provide services out of hours, at night and on weekends as directed by the relevant Director.
