Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Occupational Therapy team at Logan Hospital. In this permanent full-time role, you will deliver high-quality care across a diverse acute adult caseload including medicine, surgery, stroke, intensive care, geriatrics, emergency and outpatient services. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will apply advanced clinical skills, provide leadership and supervision, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and support positive patient outcomes.

  • Deliver expert Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and discharge planning across acute clinical settings.
  • Manage complex caseloads with a high degree of clinical autonomy and professional judgement.
  • Supervise, mentor and support junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.

You are a confident and adaptable Occupational Therapist who thrives in fast-paced acute healthcare environments and is passionate about delivering person-centred care. You bring strong clinical expertise, leadership capability and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and service innovation.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in areas such as general medicine, surgery, stroke, geriatrics, intensive care and emergency care.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team goals and organisational outcomes.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
