As a TAFE Queensland Clinical Facilitator (Nursing), you will play a pivotal role in supporting students to develop practical skills, clinical confidence, and professional capability within a simulated and supervised clinical environment. 

This is a unique opportunity to apply your current nursing expertise to facilitate hands-on learning, guide students in translating theory into practice, and contribute to high quality training outcomes. Working closely with industry and education partners, you will help prepare students for the demands of the healthcare sector while supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.

We have multiple casual opportunities available for immediate start, to support clinical delivery within our VET Nursing programs across Semester 2, 2026 and into Semester 1, 2027. 

Positions are available across TAFE Queensland’s Brisbane campus locations, including:

  • North: Caboolture and Redcliffe
  • Central: South Bank
  • South: Alexandra Hills and Loganlea

This position reports to the Clinical Laboratory Manager.

Casual Rate

The hourly rate for a Casual Clinical Facilitator is $80.02 per hour plus superannuation.

 Mandatory Requirements 

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Post Graduate qualification in a related area; 
  • Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration; 
  • Registered Nurse, with a minimum five (5) years post-graduate experience; and 

 

  • Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
    • TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
    • TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
    • TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools.
    • TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
    • TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor.
    • TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development.
    • TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor.
    • Higher level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Highly desirable:

Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:

  • Clinical expertise in an area of Nursing practice; and 
  • High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
