Role details
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Allied Health Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
To contribute to patient care through the provision of clinical support tasks under the direction and supervision of an Allied Health Professional.
About the Team
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides care to people who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness. If a person is admitted to an acute inpatient unit, it is often because their mental illness is not manageable in a less restrictive setting, such as community-based support. Acute inpatient treatment services provide care to individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of serious mental illness including Depression, Schizophrenia, Schizo-affective disorder, Bipolar disorder and Personality disorder.
