About the role
The purpose of this position within the Complex Chronic Disease Team is to deliver specialised Physiotherapy clinical services, applying advanced level knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of clients to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life. Provision of professional leadership within the multidisciplinary team and development of specialised professional competence are key components of the position. To provide clinical physiotherapy leadership and professional supervision in the areas of research, education and professional standards.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Independently provide advanced level physiotherapy clinical services to a varied and complex caseload of community cardio-respiratory clients in conjunction with the MDT in accordance with evidence and best practice standards.
- Exercise clinical judgement in providing services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques or methods require expansion, adaptation or modification.
- Use specialised knowledge and skills to contribute to formal research and develop the knowledge base of the service.
- Provide timely, advanced clinical advice to a range of health professionals, supervisors, managers and stakeholders, both internal and external to the HHS, regarding cardiorespiratory physiotherapy management, clinical standards and service delivery.
