About your role

As a Finance Officer, you will provide financial and management accounting support that contributes to effective planning, performance monitoring and financial compliance across Community & Oral Health Services.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and review financial transactions and general ledger accounts
  • Perform reconciliations, journal entries and payroll adjustments
  • Maintain asset registers and support procurement processes
  • Assist with monthly management reporting and budget monitoring
  • Analyse financial, activity and statistical data against budgets
  • Support annual financial statements and end-of-year activities
  • Support Financial Management Assurance Testing activities

About you

You are an organised and customer-focused finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering quality outcomes. 

You will demonstrate:

  • Experience working with financial systems and accounting processes
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA or the ability to quickly acquire system expertise
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Ability to analyse financial and operational information
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Business will be highly regarded
