Your new role:

Join Logan Endocrine and Diabetes Services (LEADS) as a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist (Endocrinology), where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality specialist care, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to teaching, research and service development.

• Provide specialist endocrinology and diabetes services across outpatient, inpatient and outreach settings, including the management of diabetes, endocrinology, gestational diabetes and obesity-related conditions.
• Deliver clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to junior medical staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.
• Participate in after-hours on-call coverage, clinical governance activities, quality improvement initiatives, research and service development projects.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers and external stakeholders to ensure safe, patient-centred care and optimal health outcomes.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Endocrinologist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the ongoing growth and success of a contemporary specialist service.

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), or equivalent, with eligibility for specialist registration in Endocrinology with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in the diagnosis and management of endocrinology and diabetes conditions, with experience working across inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and support medical and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families, colleagues and external stakeholders while delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
