The purpose of this role is to undertake technical support activities while completing approved engineering studies, developing the skills and knowledge required to support the maintenance, installation and management of health technology equipment and systems. Upon successful completion of the cadetship, participants will progress to a Biomedical Technician position.
What you'll do
In this role you will support the receipt, delivery and dispatch of health technology equipment, assist with equipment maintenance and technical support activities, manage parts and consumables, maintain equipment records and documentation, provide customer service and administrative support, participate in equipment installations and commissioning activities, develop technical skills through practical on-the-job learning, and contribute to the delivery of biomedical technology services across Queensland Health.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Is enrolled or eligible to enrol in an approved engineering qualification
- Has an interest in biomedical technology, engineering or health technology systems
- Can demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Has effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Is motivated to learn through a combination of study and practical experience
- Holds, or can obtain, a current C Class Driver Licence
