About the role
- Coordinate, supervise, report on and perform cleaning audit services in accordance with Caboolture Hospital Policy and Procedures and the Queensland Health Environmental Cleaning Guidelines.
- Provide efficient and effective supervision and coordination of Patient Support Services to ensure service delivery standards are met across cleaning, porterage, linen and waste management functions, in alignment with relevant legislation, policies, protocols and guidelines.
- Undertake routine and periodic environmental cleaning audits as per Queensland health Environmental cleaning guidelines, whilst also ensuring compliance with local protocols and procedures.
- The role may require infrequent shift work (day, evening and night) across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays, depending on operational requirements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Perform and lead Environmental Cleaning Duties in line with infection control protocols, designated task outlines, Caboolture Hospital Standards and Queensland Health Environmental Cleaning Guidelines.
- Conduct Scheduled and ad-hoc environmental cleaning audits to ensure compliance with the Department of Health Cleaning Guidelines and accreditation requirements.
- Monitor and document cleaning performance outcomes, identifying non-compliance and ensuring timely rectification through follow-up audits and feedback.
- Maintain audit tools, documentation, and readiness for internal and external compliance reviews.
- Support audit preparedness through proactive engagement with operational staff, providing guidance on proper cleaning technique, frequency, and risk-area prioritisation.
