Your new role:

As the Principal Health Funding Analyst, you will provide expert leadership in health funding analysis, Activity Based Funding (ABF), casemix classification and performance reporting. Working closely with executive stakeholders, you will undertake complex data analysis, deliver strategic recommendations, lead funding optimisation initiatives and provide specialist advice that supports service planning, operational efficiency and evidence-based decision making. This senior role offers the opportunity to influence healthcare outcomes through high-level research, innovation and analytical expertise while supporting key stakeholders across the organisation.

About you:

You are a highly analytical and strategic health funding professional with advanced expertise in Activity Based Funding (ABF), casemix classification and healthcare performance analysis, capable of translating complex data into meaningful business outcomes. You will have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in ABF, funding classifications and optimisation strategies within a tertiary healthcare environment.
  • Advanced ability to interrogate, analyse and interpret complex clinical, financial and casemix data to support informed decision-making.
  • Proven experience delivering high-level reports, insights and recommendations for executive and senior leadership audiences.
  • Strong research, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with a commitment to collaborative and customer-focused service delivery.

The Health Funding Analysis team provides expert data analysis and strategic insights to support Activity Based Funding (ABF), service performance monitoring, funding optimisation and efficiency initiatives. The team partners with stakeholders across the health service to drive quality improvement, inform service planning, benchmark performance and support evidence-based decision-making that enhances healthcare outcomes.
