Your new role:
As a Senior Medical Workforce Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting workforce operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across the medical workforce portfolio. Working closely with clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders, you'll provide expert advice and lead initiatives that enhance workforce outcomes and service delivery.
You will,
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex HR, payroll, rostering and industrial relations matters impacting medical staff.
- Provide expert advice on Awards, Agreements, employment legislation, policies and workforce procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Analyse payroll, rostering and workforce data to identify trends, mitigate fatigue-related risks and improve workforce performance.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, develop local procedures and support workforce projects that enhance efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
About you:
You are a proactive workforce professional who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. You enjoy solving complex problems, influencing positive change and delivering high-quality customer-focused workforce services.
You will have,
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying HR policies, industrial instruments, payroll processes and employment legislation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data, identify risks and provide practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, drive continuous improvement and deliver solutions in a complex operational environment.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
